On Saturday, August 16, 2025, Making A Difference Everywhere Trinidad and Tobago (M.A.D.E. TNT) marked a significant milestone with its ten-year anniversary gala, held at the North Sea Restaurant and Bar, Port of Spain. The celebration, which began at 4:00 p.m, brought together members, volunteers, and supporters to reflect on the organization’s journey and welcome a new chapter of leadership.

What made the evening especially meaningful was the mix of attendees who represented different stages of M.A.D.E’s journey. Those who have been part of M.A.D.E TNT over the years, showcasing a mix of experiences and dedication. There were guests who proudly stood as part of the organization from its start, as well as others who had been involved for seven years, five years, three years, and even just one year. At the same time, fresh faces who were only just starting their journey with M.A.D.E were warmly welcomed into the family. This blend of long-standing commitment and new beginnings created a powerful sense of unity and continuity, making the evening not only a look back at the organization’s remarkable growth but also a hopeful glance toward its future.

From the very beginning, guests were warmly welcomed by dedicated volunteers who

worked at the front desk and helped with the smooth flow of the evening. Soon after,

attendees were introduced to the heart of M.A.D.E TNT, its founder, Maya Roberts, alongside Koffi Paul, a long-standing member, and the outgoing president, Amy Lezama. Their presence set the tone for an evening filled with reflection, encouragement, and celebration.

Following the introductions, a special video presentation was shared. This featured outgoing board members offering words of encouragement, heartfelt experiences, and reflections on what M.A.D.E. has meant to them over the years, reminding everyone of the organization’s growth, and the impact it has made within the community.

To keep the energy light and engaging, the program then transitioned to an icebreaker, in order to allow everyone to get to know each other better. Each participant introduced themselves by sharing their name, school, and something interesting about themselves. This helped create a sense of connection, and embodied the spirit of unity and engagement that M.A.D.E. continues to nurture.

Shortly after the game, the much-anticipated dinner was served around 5:30 p.m. Guests enjoyed a traditional spread of rice, peas, chicken, and salad, complemented by three flavourful sauces. The dining experience was smooth, warm, and communal, with amazing cuisine, bringing everyone even closer together.

Once dinner concluded, the spotlight shifted to the future of the organization. Guests were proudly introduced to the new incoming board members, who will lead M.A.D.E. TNT into its next year of service and growth.

As the evening slowed, the excitement continued with a lively Kahoot! trivia-game, centered on who knew M.A.D.E. TNT best. The friendly competition sparked laughter, enthusiasm, and joy, as participants tested their knowledge, with the winners of the game being treated to a chocolatey prize.

Finally, to close on a sweet note, guests were treated to cheesecake. Ending in a memorable and heartfelt way, as founder, Maya Roberts, thanked Elizabeth Montano for her contribution, and gifted everyone with a moving live performance, showcasing both her talent and her enduring love for the organization she created.

This gala was so much more than just a celebration. It was a reminder of how far M.A.D.E. TNT has come, and how deeply it continues to touch lives.
